Illuminated Branding

Spanning more than six-acres on Manhattan's East Side from 38th to 41st Streets east of First Avenue, Field of Light at Freedom Plaza features an installation by artist Bruce Munro consisting of an array of 18,750 lowlight, fiber-optic stemmed spheres that illuminate with a slow subtle change of hue. Guests are fully immersed in the installation as they are invited to walk the winding path through the ethereal painted landscape framed by the city's iconic skyline and the East River waterfront. Working with my partners at Eventique, I developed and implemented visual branding for Field of Light at Freedom Plaza.

Role: Brand identity design, website design, signage & wayfinding

I developed a logotype lockup that clearly communicates the name of the installation and introduces the name of the future development on the site. To accompany the wordmark, I designed a graphic that reflects the installation itself—a field of colored dots, transitioning between colors.
