NEW YORK 50

Celebrating Our New York

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of New York Magazine, an exciting season of events in art, comedy, music, food, and movies was planned. To build awareness of this series and a concurrent public art project, my team and I designed a robust web portal. Starting with stakeholder interviews, we developed a UX strategy, built wireframes, and designed the site. We also worked with the editorial team to implement a city-wide public art project, which featured New York covers as imagined by artists including Alex Katz, Kerry James Marshall, Judy Chicago, and Laurie Simmons.

Role: UX design, OOH design and implementation

PUBLIC ART CAMPAIGN

I worked with Director of Photography Jody Quon to design and implement “50 Artists, 50 Covers,” a city-wide public art campaign. Prominent New York artists were invited to imagine what they would do if given a cover of the magazine.
